About Us

We do things a bit differently... and that is how we like it!

Welcome, and thank you for visiting.  Joann Reynolds, Founder and Owner of Escalante BodyWork & Massage, graduated from A New Beginning School of Massage in 2010, having completed 850 hours of training in multiple techniques.  She has been providing Massage Therapy to the Austin, Cedar Park and Round Rock area for the past 7 years.  In 2016 she continued her education and was certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner.  Joann has specialized in working with clients with a range of discomfort from sports injuries, chronic conditions, motor vehicle trauma and non-adaptive patterns shaped by repetitive movements often seen in specific occupations.  She has found that, over time, one's environment becomes imprinted on the body, so she provides alternative methods to correct set-in habits.

Joann believes that the healing power of sacred touch is invaluable to our fast-paced society. This type of bodywork offers nurturing touch, authentic presence and intention to engage the whole person into deeper levels of relaxation and re-education of the body.  She is passionate about the positive effects of therapy on the body and mind.

Joann is a dedicated wife and a mother of 2, devoted Christian and proud native Texan.  Her passion is healing, and outside of work, she's an avid reader, always on a quest to expand her knowledge. Books that lead to self-growth and self-improvement help her provide the best healing solutions for you.

Becky Taccetta

Becky is a native central Texan who grew up near Kerrville but has lived in the Austin area for the last 24 years.  She has spent almost all of that time working in the medical field, focusing mainly on veterinary surgery or in human orthopedics.  Working in the physically demanding field of veterinary medicine, Becky found regular massage very beneficial in preventing injury or relieving minor muscle aches and pains.  Bodywork became a strong interest a couple of years ago, and after a little encouragement from friends and family, Becky decided to go to massage school.  She graduated from Lauterstein-Conway Massage School and Clinic this summer near the top of her class.  She plans to grow her massage skills in bodywork with high focus on myofascial release, sports massage, and client education to the benefits of massage for a healthy lifestyle.
In her very rare spare time, Becky spends most of her time with her two teenagers, either hiking places like Enchanted Rock, watching college football games, seeing live music shows, or attending Texas Stars hockey games as a season ticket holder.  She also enjoys cooking, photography, and reading books.
